Yorkshire Phoenix TFC

This was the most succesful Euopa Cup the club has had to date finishing in the final 4. The crowning point of the event was when Phoenix beat rivals Cardiff in a tense game 1-0. At half time the game was locked at 0-0 in all games. Kenny Beggs took the lead against Phil Dacey with Phil equalising shortly after. Then 6 minutes from time Paul Lawrenson hit the winner against greek Vas Koutsompinas to win the tie and overall match 1-0.
